About Us
Birkdale Village Care Home is a residential home for the over 60s with a 20 bed capacity that has been established for over 25 years.
The priority is for residents to feel supported and to create a happy and homely environment, thus the care home maintains an open door policy for residents’ friends and families.
All our rooms are furnished, 12 are en-suite, and we have a cosy lounge and dining area. There is also a nurse call bell system located throughout the home.
Due to the smaller size of the home we believe our carers can build closer relationships with our residents and cater for their needs on a more personal level.

Eight ground floor rooms. The remaining floors are serviced by a passenger lift.

All bedrooms have wash-hand basins and 12 have en-suite facilities.

All rooms have a nurse call system with 24 hour immediate assistance

Residents may bring their own furniture if desired.

There is a large lounge, dining room and conservatory overlooking the garden.

Meals may be taken in the dining room or in the privacy of resident's own room if requested. We provide a balanced and varied menu and special diets are available on request.
Services
Transport can be arranged for outings, such as theatres and places of general interest.
A hairdresser visits weekly.
The Chiropodist visits every six to eight weeks. We also have regular visits from the optician.
